Frogtown
a woman’s obsessive drive to prove the existence of a magical swamp creature she befriended as a child.
a slice-of-life exploration of the weird and wonderful residents of a small town in north Florida and what they believe in. The film combines a scripted story about three generations of women growing up in that town alongside interviews with a patchwork of interesting and eccentric real-life residents. Both the fictional drama and true stories of tall tales collide at the end of the film in an absurd, genre-bending conclusion that leaves audiences questioning the reality of the piece and the validity of their own childhood memories.

Director’s Statement:
“As someone who lost their father at a young age, I always felt like I had to grow up fast. I wish I were able to hold onto the imaginative, idealistic part of my childhood mind a little bit longer.
Over the years, I have made a point to reclaim that wonder in the world around me. My creative voice has developed into one that calls attention to the absurdities of everyday life and highlights them in unique and thought-provoking ways.
I want Frogtown to inspire people to believe in the wonders of the world again. More than that, I want it to make them question why they ever stopped.”
